Video information

"Mountain River Xinjiang Season 3" is a documentary jointly produced by the Xinjiang Radio and Television Bureau, Xinjiang Broadcasting and Television Station, and Xinjiang Yacchi Cultural Development Co., Ltd. On January 3, 2024, "Mountain River Xinjiang Season 3" was recommended as an outstanding domestic documentary for the third quarter of 2023. "Mountain River Xinjiang (Season 3)" structures its three episodes based on natural geography, continuing the documentary style of the previous two seasons. It uses forests, grasslands, and deserts as its carriers to tell the stories of the people of various ethnic groups living in this region. The perspective of the documentary covers the mountains, rivers, and people of Xinjiang. In essence, "Mountain River Xinjiang" refers to "Mountain River People," with "Mountain River" serving merely as a carrier, symbolizing the "land." The happy lives of the people of Xinjiang are the main focus of the narrative. Understanding the people of Xinjiang means understanding Xinjiang itself. The documentary is structured into three episodes based on the natural geography of "forests," "grasslands," and "deserts (Gobi)." On the 1.66 million square kilometers of land, forests, grasslands, and deserts occupy 4.87%, 34%, and 25% of Xinjiang's land, respectively. The people of various ethnic groups living on more than half of Xinjiang's land coexist harmoniously. There are people in the forests, sheep on the grasslands, and rivers in the deserts. For example, "people in the forests" does not refer narrowly to the people living in the forests but to the cities and all living beings nestled within the embrace of the forests.
