The program is hosted by Guo Degang, with Yue Yunpeng and Song Xiaobao joining as "guest teachers" representing two top comedy brands, helping the "happy people" grow into "happy comedians" through a series of learning and training. Li Xueqin, known as the "genius of stand-up comedy," participates as a team leader. Other guests from different fields, including Pure Love Awai, Fan Tiantian, Li Yitong, Ouyi, Qin Xiaoxian, Xiong Ziqi, and Zhang Dadi, also join as "happy people." This season, through the "Comedians' Alliance Expansion Plan," these "happy people" who are skilled in humor but not professional comedians are sent to two offline theaters representing different comedy forms—Northeastern Comedy and Crosstalk Comedy—to learn and perform. After training and learning in the offline theaters, they return to the big stage for competition, vying for the crown of "King of Comedy" in 2021.
