As of December 31, 2022, what can songs do for the Red and White (Kouhaku) event? We are all living in an uncertain era, filled with anxiety, due to the pandemic, military invasion, and a succession of natural disasters. As we approach the end of 2022, I hope that through music, everyone can feel the "preciousness of peace" and "love filled with hope." I want New Year's Eve to be a "festive day" once a year. I want to deliver the best live entertainment, a celebration of songs that everyone can enjoy. Let's do it again this year! The 73rd NHK Red and White Song Contest. This year's Red and White is about "Sharing Red and White." While enjoying Red and White on TV or radio, I hope you will share your thoughts, photos, and videos on your smartphones or computers. Share your feelings, share visuals, share love and peace! Let's all share and enjoy Red and White to the fullest!
