"The First Year: University Season" is an original campus documentary program co-produced by Hunan Television and Shanghai Theatre Academy. On the day of its launch, celebrity alumni from the academy, including Tong Dawei, Song Jia, Wan Qian, Wang Chuanjun, and Li Jinming, returned to campus to interact closely with their younger peers and reminisce about their own early days at school. This season will focus on the lives of first-year art students as they begin their university journey. Director Xu Qing introduced the program's preparation, stating that the upgraded version of "The First Year: University Season" will continue to document the real-life experiences of first-year university students in a documentary style. "Art academies are different from other universities. Students' coursework is not only in the classroom but also includes performance reports and social practice classes, so the content presented will be richer."
