Su Muyan, a novice witch and descendant of the North Liang witch clan, was betrothed to the ninth prince Feng Luochen, who was the least favored but possessed a pure yang body, according to the covenant between the royal family and the witch clan. Before this, all three consorts that Feng Luochen had married had disappeared without a trace, with rumors suggesting they were all killed by him. To awaken her spiritual roots and save her beloved eighth prince Feng Qiyu, who was being held captive in the South Yang, Su Muyan enters into a "contractual marriage" with the Demon King. With her chaotic witchcraft and earnest sincerity, Su Muyan gradually wins Feng Luochen's heart, uncovers the numerous conspiracies surrounding him, and rescues each other in their respective worlds, awakening and protecting one another as they rise to the top.
