At the beginning of the 20th century, with the fall of the Qing Dynasty, a large number of treasures from the imperial palace were scattered among the common people. The Beiyang government was powerless, leading to foreign enemies and domestic thieves coveting the national treasures, which were in imminent danger. The strong plot action drama *Perilous Situation* tells the legendary story of how, during this period, patriotic citizens formed a civilian treasure protection organization called "Disha" to protect the treasure map leading to the 64 volumes of the *Yongle Dadian*, a symbol of Chinese civilization, and engaged in intense struggles against the evil forces of foreign powers such as Japan, the United States, and France.
