Video information
Curly hair reaching the shoulders, always in a black suit, and physically weak—this is the anomaly in the police station: Ryoichi Kurota (played by Masakazu Tanimura). His appearance is always elegant yet slightly carefree, and his speech is always deliberate and unhurried, contrasting sharply with his loud and somewhat eccentric assistant, Imai (played by Masahiko Ochiai). Guns are completely out of place for him; Kurota relies solely on his meticulous and clear-thinking mind. To many people (especially criminals), he is just a polite and somewhat slippery detective, but anyone who underestimates him will inevitably fall into Kurota's reasoning trap. Whether it's a popular manga artist who killed her lover over emotional issues (played by Akina Nakamori), a so-called psychic who takes desperate measures (played by Ken Ishikuro), or a period drama actor who kills a greedy manager out of hatred (played by Tomisaburo Wakayama), no matter how precise the crime or how clever the criminal, they will all reveal their flaws in front of Kurota.
