The story follows Jack (Dylan Llewellyn, *Derry Girls*), who is kind-hearted, shy, and still closeted, and Danny (Jon Pointing, *Romeo and Juliet*), who is energetic, youthful, and slightly more mature. They form an unexpected friendship. Over the past year, Jack has stayed at home to care for his mother and mourn his late father. Now, Jack is ready to embark on his university journey, where he meets his roommate Danny. They are assigned to each other during Freshers' Week and are looked after by an overly enthusiastic student union representative. Despite being at completely different places in terms of masculinity, Jack and Danny develop a close bond amidst the inevitable chaos and madness of their first year at university.
