During the Anti-Japanese War, the fate of the four hundred million people on the vast land of China was altered by the ravages of war, and the three brothers from Shandong were no exception. Each of them experienced unprecedented entanglements between family and country. The eldest brother, Tian Dalin (played by Zhang Hanyu), was a legendary sniper in the Nationalist Army with an unerring aim, but he could not change the fate of his entire unit being wiped out. The second brother, Er Lin (played by Liu Ye), a common chef who wandered alone in Beiping, accidentally rescued an underground party member. With his knowledge of a few Japanese phrases and his bold demeanor, he was noticed by the other party member. For the sake of money, he dared to infiltrate the Japanese restaurant "Fukuda Ryori" as an intelligence agent, carefully navigating in the most dangerous place. The third brother, San Lin (played by Huang Bo), a rogue and troublemaker, brought his mother to Beiping to seek refuge with his second brother. Along the way, he met his love-hate interest Song Yaju (played by Huang Xiaolei) and, by chance, entered the underworld. Using his wits, he gradually rose to a higher position. The three brothers, each on a different path in life, yet they all moved toward the same goal...
