At midnight, a raging fire was devouring a residential house. Cheng Youkuan was trapped in the inferno, but he knew there were still people inside! He coughed uncontrollably while desperately searching, and finally saw a woman whose hands and feet were bound, crying out for help. As Cheng Youkuan reached out to rescue her, a familiar pang of heartache suddenly overwhelmed him, causing him to wake up from his dream. It turned out that this was Youkuan's dream; he could foresee the deaths of those about to die, but he was unable to intervene. Every time he tried to save someone, a beautiful lotus flower would sprout from his eyes, spreading all the way to his heart, causing excruciating pain that prevented him from taking another step forward. Thus, despite knowing and witnessing the deaths in his dreams, Youkuan could only helplessly watch as people died before his eyes. For nineteen years, every day and every night, this was his fate, his curse... When Youkuan, then ten years old, was bullied by his classmates, he attributed all the reasons for his bullying to his classmate, Bi Kewei, who caused him to be mistakenly accused of being a thief. So, when he was sick with a high fever and in critical condition, he made a wish to an unseen power, hoping that Kewei would take his place to bear the calamity... From then on, the intertwined destinies of Youkuan and Kewei—whose lives are intertwined—left the question: who will survive?
