It stars Adelaide Kane, an Australian actress known for her classical beauty, and Toby Regbo, a British actor, and airs on Thursday nights at 9 PM, alongside "The Vampire Diaries." The show won the People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama in its 40th edition. On February 14, 2014, CW announced the renewal of "Mary, Queen of Scots" for a second season, which premiered in mid-October 2014.
