Reed Morano and Jane Featherstone will collaborate on the production of Amazon's 10-episode drama "The Power," which is adapted from Naomi Alderman's novel of the same name. The book was listed by former President Barack Obama as one of his favorite books of 2017. "The Power" tells the story of girls around the world who suddenly gain the ability to generate electric shocks from their hands, and they can awaken this ability in adult women through touch, leading to a complete reversal of gender roles. The first season will include characters from London, Arizona, Nigeria, and Moldova.
