The third season of *Mr. Mercedes* is primarily adapted from the second novel, *Finders Keepers*, in Stephen King's trilogy. On a dark, rainy night, the literary giant Rothstein is found dead in his residence, with signs of a robbery at the scene. Hodges, Holly, and Jerome assist the local police in investigating the case and discover that several of Rothstein's unpublished and incredibly valuable manuscripts have also been stolen. Could all of this be connected to the deranged fan of the author, Morris Bellamy? Even though Brady has been declared dead, the crimes he committed continue to impact the town. Two years ago, he orchestrated a Mercedes car attack, making the Saubers family the victims, and they have lost the chance for a normal, happy life ever since. Meanwhile, Lou, who killed Brady in revenge, is haunted by nightmares and hallucinations while awaiting trial, and she even suspects that Brady's ghost is still lingering. This season will still consist of 10 episodes and is scheduled to premiere on September 10th.
