Video information
Melinda (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt) possesses a mysterious ability to communicate with ghosts, and she is often visited by spirits seeking her help. These ghosts come to the mortal realm because they have unfinished business, which prevents them from moving on to the next life. Melinda navigates between life and death, assisting them while also exploring the true meaning of life and death. The only ones who know the truth are her husband Jim (played by David Conrad) and her antique shop partner Delia (played by Camryn Manheim). Rick, a humanities professor at a university who studies supernatural phenomena (played by Jay Mohr), cannot see the ghosts but can hear their voices. Because of this, he often helps Melinda interpret the many clues the ghosts give her.
