Nakazawa Naomi (played by Erika Hiraoka) is a doctor who, after dating her fellow doctor boyfriend, Iwahara Yushi (played by Masahiro Matsuoka), for several months, finally decides to get engaged and prepare for marriage. During the process of moving, Nakazawa Naomi meets a moving company worker named Maeda Shinsuke (played by Ikki Muro). Shinsuke was once a somewhat famous novelist but abandoned his literary career midway. Coincidentally, Nakazawa Naomi used to be one of Shinsuke's fans. This fateful encounter gradually makes Nakazawa realize that everything she has is not what she truly desires. She resolutely cancels her engagement with her boyfriend and instead passionately pursues Shinsuke, despite their vastly different social standings. Meanwhile, Nakazawa is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, meaning the time she has with Shinsuke is growing increasingly limited.
