Video information

Based on true events, *The Secret Partners* depicts five young people from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom who, during World War II, travel to a highly secretive training base on Lake Ontario to undergo espionage skills training (including sabotage, assassination, explosives, blackmail, Morse code, cartography, and the ability to persuade young people to join the resistance movement). They are then dispatched to Nazi-occupied territories to carry out critical missions. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) are responsible for training and overseeing this team. Alfred Graves is a young man with synesthesia (a condition similar to that of Cassandra in *The Librarian*). He can simultaneously stimulate multiple senses and associate these sensations with one another. Additionally, he has the ability to memorize vast amounts of information, making him the team's most crucial secret weapon. After being deployed to the battlefield, he meets Aurora Luft (played by Evelyne Brochu). This journalist, with French, Canadian, German, and Jewish ancestry, becomes a courageous female warrior, joining the French Resistance. Tom Cummings (played by Dustin Milligan), an American advertising expert, excels in propaganda and manipulation. Harry James (played by Connor Price) is the youngest member of the espionage team, proficient in radio operation and also a explosives expert. Hugh Dillon plays the role of the training camp's director, while Lara Jean Chorostecki portrays the leader of the communications command center, a team entirely composed of women. Jack Laskey and Warren Brown also appear in the cast. In reality, "Camp X" was a real place. During World War II, it trained and deployed numerous agents for special missions. "Camp X" appeared to be a quasi-military organization without formal military status but was directly managed and controlled by the Canadian and British governments. Sir William Stephenson founded "Camp X" with the intention of addressing the shortage of military intelligence operatives. He quickly received substantial support from the FBI and OSS, including training courses and instructors. Young people joining "Camp X" typically undergo a 10-week special training program before being sent to hotspots to execute missions. It is said that the "X Training Camp" trained hundreds of secret spies in total, and it was also one of the most advanced communication centers in the world at the time during the war.
