At 38 years old, single, and struggling with a decade-long affair, Izumi Kikuchi (Marika Matsumoto), an editor at a small publishing company, encounters a no-nonsense, sharp-tongued woman who pierces hearts like a storm—Arahitomi Nagoya Madame Haruko Nakajima (Masao Daichi). Known as—or rather, self-proclaimed as—the "Super Doctor of Beauty," Haruko runs an ultra-popular beauty clinic in Tokyo's Ebisu, a savvy female entrepreneur admired even by the political and business elite. "You're lucky to be able to talk to me," she says. Izumi, by chance, becomes friends with Haruko—or rather, her "younger brother." From this day on, Izumi's life becomes a whirlwind of drama. Haruko invites Izumi to an opulent celebrity party she's never seen before. There, Izumi encounters the lover of the young entrepreneur hosting the party! Coincidentally, the lover is in the midst of a decade-long affair, and Izumi, seeing her own situation reflected, feels a pang of pain. However, whether knowingly or not, Haruko's sharp rebuke echoes through the party venue. "You, as a lover, shouldn't be so arrogant! Be more humble!" Haruko cuts through the lover's airs. She doesn't spare the male entrepreneur either. "Ultimately, it's you who's destroying your own life. Well, that's none of my business." Haruko's surroundings are filled with people grappling with their own issues—such as an old-established udon shop struggling with succession, a highly educated Tokyo University woman unable to marry, and a celebrity wife suffering from a husband-related illness. Haruko relentlessly cuts through their problems, yet the lives of those she criticizes seem to improve. Haruko's sharp tongue is also directed at Izumi, who is caught up in her own affair. Izumi, expecting to be harshly cut down, is instead faced with the strongest superwoman in TV history, who dismantles the world's troubles and injustices. The thrilling and sharp-tongued entertainment begins!
