Two decades ago, a surgery caused a rift between two pediatric specialty intern doctors, Kong Chongxin (played by Ma Guiming) and Xu Ganfeng (played by Cheng Gia-ying). Over time, Chongxin rose to become a senior pediatric surgeon at the top-tier "Anne Hospital," while Ganfeng, dedicated to protecting life, settled at a second-tier hospital. The two were on separate paths, but they unexpectedly crossed paths again due to a liver transplant surgery, intertwining their destinies. Chongxin devised a plan to force Ganfeng to join Anne Hospital and recruited his former comrade, cardiothoracic surgeon Zhang Yixin (played by Zhong Jiaren), and surgical department head Ma Haiqi (played by Zhou Jiayi) to form a perfect team. The ultimate goal was to realize his vision and pave the way for the construction of Hong Kong's first "Pediatric Center." Through the life-and-death stories of one child patient after another, the initially adversarial Chongxin and Ganfeng gradually opened up to each other. At this point, specialist doctor Man Pak-hi (played by Lo Tsz-yat) and intern doctor Lien Cheuk-ying (played by Cheung Po-yee) discovered that the surgery from twenty years ago involved a major medical error, with the chief surgeon being Dr. Zhong Huishuang (played by Gong Ci'en), the dean of the East Asia University Medical School affiliated with Anne Hospital.
