Video information
Frankie (played by Dakota Blue Richards) was adopted by a gay couple from a young age, which led to her having an unconventional style of dress and a personality that didn't fit in with her peers. At her previous school, she was ostracized and bullied by classmates, so Frankie transferred to a new school. On her first day, she accidentally meets the school's popular girl, Mimi (played by Freya Mavor). Mimi, along with her friends Liv and Grace, reaches out to Frankie, making her believe she has already integrated into this new environment. However, she soon encounters more troubles. In her predicament, Frankie meets a mysterious man named Mattie (played by Sebastian De Souza), who offers her advice, and she develops feelings for him. She later discovers that Mattie is the younger brother of Mimi's boyfriend, Nick (played by Sean Teale). Meanwhile, the rebellious teenage boy Rich (played by Alex Arnold), who loves heavy metal rock, falls in love with Grace's ballet-like gentleness.
