Klaus (played by Joseph Morgan) carries the blood of both the Original Vampire and the werewolf. Over time, the unshakable prestige and power represented by his family have gradually faded into nothingness. The evil Marcel (played by Charles Michael Davis) is gradually replacing the position of Klaus's clan, asserting his dominance and authority over New Orleans. With their own purposes in mind, Klaus and Elijah (played by Daniel Gillies) return to New Orleans. Waiting for them there are not only their archenemy Marcel but also the coven of witches led by Sophie (played by Daniella Pineda). To confront the formidable Marcel, Klaus and his companions are forced to form an alliance with Sophie. However, this alliance is a double-edged sword, as it not only strikes against the enemy but also poses a threat to Klaus himself.
