"Super Sentai GAGAGA" is a TV series that premiered on NHK on January 18, 2019, starring Kaede Koishi, with additional performances by Haruka Kiwami, Yuki Morinaga, Rena Takeda, Kokoro Terada, and Yuki Matsushita. The protagonist, Kaede Nakamura, works as a white-collar employee at a company but is actually a hardcore otaku who loves tokusatsu works. Her daily life is always filled with various crises, and in her mind, everything transforms into a tokusatsu mode, where only she can see the tokusatsu heroes who give her the courage to overcome these challenges. The series is adapted from the manga of the same name by Tei Danwa. Kaede Nakamura, a white-collar worker at a trading company, is a hidden otaku who deeply loves tokusatsu. Her mother (Yuki Matsushita) prefers girly things and dislikes tokusatsu, so she keeps her love for tokusatsu a secret from her mother and her colleagues at work. Kaede often finds herself in various crises in her daily life. "W, what should I do..." Suddenly, her mind switches to tokusatsu mode, and only she can see the tokusatsu heroes who appear, giving her the courage to face and overcome each crisis. Along the way, she meets new friends, such as the tokusatsu otaku senior colleague Yoshida-san (Kana Kurashika), her colleague Kitajiro-san (Haruka Kiwami), a young boy named Damian (Kokoro Terada), and the tough-guyChivalrousnessさん (Manabu Takeuchi), among others. As she cultivates friendships and grows as a tokusatsu otaku office worker, the series depicts Kaede's positive and spirited efforts in facing the everyday challenges and barriers in her life, presented as a comedic drama.
