This is the office of a small branch of "Dunder Mifflin," a paper company, under the leadership of Michael Scott (Steve Carell), a region manager with a very eccentric mindset. The lives of the office employees are filled with strange and amusing events every day. Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) is a witty and clever prankster who constantly comes up with different ideas to torment his academic-type colleague Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson), who sits across from him. Dwight is always annoyed and retaliates secretly in his work, viewing Jim as his biggest competitor for promotion. Jim's prank partner is Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer), the receptionist, and they create endless laughter, but Pam is engaged, so Jim can only admire her from afar. The office also includes Angela Martin (Angela Kinsey), a quirky and single older woman; Oscar Nunez (Oscar Nunez), an accountant who is discriminated against by Michael due to his homosexuality; and Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak), an intern eager to fit in with everyone. Regardless of their personalities, everyone agrees that Michael is the biggest "asshole" in the office... This show is the American version of the British BBC sitcom "The Office."
