Video information
One day, the father (played by Teruyoshi Nakano) suddenly comes to visit Asane (played by Taiga), informing him that an aunt he has never met has passed away and asking him to tidy up her house. In the dilapidated little house by the river, Asane gradually begins to understand the life of the aunt his father spoke of. As a child, the aunt, Kawa-jiri Matsuko (played by Mikiki Nakatani), often dreamed of being a princess like Snow White. She later became a diligent middle school teacher but was dismissed due to an unfounded misunderstanding. She then moved in with a writer, who chose to commit suicide because of his overwhelming love for her, leaving a last will that said, "I'm sorry to be human." This incident deeply affected Matsuko. Later, she moved in with the writer's business rival, but unable to resist the temptation of being with the rival's wife, she was eventually abandoned. She then worked as a hostess and even committed murder, leading to her imprisonment. However, regardless of her intentions, she never gave up hope for life. No matter how fragmented her life became, she instinctively continued to survive. This act of survival alone was enough to touch anyone, including Asane.
