"Queen of Ghosts" begins with the story of Mei Qi (played by Zhou Xiu Na), who grew up in a children's home. At the age of thirty, she works as a high-ranking hotel executive but is known for her cold demeanor. Just as she is about to marry her boyfriend, one day, her position and her boyfriend are both taken by her subordinate Michelle (played by Lu Mixue). At her lowest point in life, she suffers a severe heart attack and stops breathing for seven minutes. When she wakes up, she sees ghosts all around her, including three that have come to her house to haunt her. Among them are Bai Ya Hui (played by Ge Min Hui), a gambler with a chipped tooth, Auntie (played by Shao Mei Qi), dressed in stage attire, and Uncle (played by Wu Yao Han), dressed in 1980s fashion. The three must complete their wishes before they can reincarnate. Mei Qi seeks help from Zhang Zijin (played by Zhang Jicong), who sells ghost money on a dark day, dark month, and dark hour. However, when Hui requests his ID card back from Chao (played by Yin Yangming), who runs a brothel, an unexpected discovery is made.
