Jack, a highly skilled and unconventional hitman played by George Clooney, arrives in a tranquil Italian countryside town, intending to complete his final mission before retiring. In this relatively simple and peaceful environment, the usually discreet and cautious Jack unexpectedly forms deep friendships with the local residents. Not only that, he also meets the beautiful prostitute Clara, played by Violante Placido, and a romantic relationship blossoms. However, this last mission in Jack's life as a hitman turns out to be far more complicated than he had imagined. The film is adapted from Martin Booth's novel "A Very Private Gentleman."
