The story takes place in the town of Hazeltown, Georgia, where Luke (Johnny Knoxville) and Bo (Seann William Scott) are inseparable brothers who spend their days loafing around their uncle Jesse's (Willie Nelson) farm, doing nothing productive. One day, Luke and Bo accidentally discover that Hazeltown's mayor, Hog (Burt Reynolds), and the sheriff, Colt (David Koechner), have a scheme to take over the farm because there is a valuable mineral deposit buried beneath it. The two brothers, who have a deep affection for the farm, refuse to let them succeed. They team up with their sassy and attractive cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson), and the four of them engage in a thrilling and competitive "battle" within the farm. The outcome remains uncertain.
