Eddie (played by Josh Brolin) is a producer working for Congress Studios. On the surface, it seems like a glamorous job, with Eddie attending high-end events and rubbing elbows with celebrities and socialites. However, in reality, Eddie's job involves dealing with the constant troubles caused by these spoiled, infantile stars. Director Lawrence (played by Ralph Fiennes) accidentally impregnates the famous actress Diana (played by Scarlett Johansson), and Eddie must find a way to keep this a secret forever. The aging actor Baird (played by George Clooney), who has a drinking problem, is kidnapped just before the start of a new film shoot, and Eddie is tasked with raising the $100,000 ransom. On top of that, Eddie must also be wary of the twin gossip reporters, the Sek sisters (played by Tilda Swinton), who are always on the lookout for juicy celebrity scandals.
