After graduating from university, Neesuta Kaiyaki (played by Daishi Nakagawa) entered a company to work, officially becoming a member of society. However, it was only at this point that Neesuta realized that being a qualified member of society was much harder than being an excellent student. Three months later, Neesuta quit his job and became a jobless drifter. He thought he could find a better job, but he kept hitting roadblocks in his job search. As a result, Neesuta had neither a job nor any friends to confide in, and his life seemed to be heading into a dead end. One day, a mysterious man named Yaeaki (played by Yudai Chiba) appeared in front of Neesuta. He told Neesuta that he was the "NEET" (a young adult who neither works nor studies) he had been searching for, and there was a plan called "ReLIFE" that could help Neesuta reintegrate into society. However, after Neesuta took the mysterious drug given to him by Yaeaki, he unexpectedly regained the appearance of a 17-year-old.
