Walr (played by Regina Casé) is a nanny who has worked in Fabíni's (played by Michel Joelsas) household for thirteen years. Although a stable salary has improved her life, it also means that Walr has not seen her daughter Jessica (played by Camila Márdila) for thirteen years. Jessica, who is entering adolescence and preparing for her college entrance exams, travels to São Paulo, where her mother works, to study. However, her real intention is to spend more time with her mother. Despite their longing for each other, when they finally live together, Walr discovers a huge gap between herself and Jessica. Frequent arguments between the mother and daughter not only distract Jessica from her studies but also cause Walr great anxiety.
