In 2044, New York City is under attack by the villain Shredder, who has allied with an extraterrestrial force attempting to destroy Earth. Numerous aliens invade through a mysterious portal, reducing the city to ashes. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, despite putting up a valiant fight, are overwhelmed by the enemy's offensive, suffering heavy casualties. Clinging to their greatest weapon—hope—the turtles decide to travel back in time to find the key to opening the portal and stop Shredder, restoring peace to the world. Leonardo's disciple Casey takes on this mission. In the past, he successfully meets up with journalist April O'Neil and reunites with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello. Together, they embark on a mission to save the world. "Our future, we decide," the turtles issue their ultimate challenge to Shredder.
