The film is based on the true story of Francesca Cabrini (played by Cristiana Dell'Anna), who fought for equality and happiness. In the late 18th century, after arriving in New York, Italian nun Cabrini discovered that the local ethnic minorities were suffering greatly from government persecution, church indifference, and social prejudice. Cabrini therefore decided to dedicate herself to helping these vulnerable minorities, vowing to fill everyone with hope. Not only did Cabrini confront the local government and religious orders, but she also had to deal with discrimination from the upper classes of society. In the face of numerous daunting challenges, she never gave up and overcame difficulties time and again with courage and perseverance, changing the world.
