Anna (played by Dakota Johnson) and Christian (played by Jamie Dornan) have endured numerous hardships and finally walked down the aisle together. After their wedding, the couple flies to Paris for their honeymoon. During this time, Jack (played by Eric Johnson) continues to haunt them, but Christian doesn't want Anna to worry, so he doesn't tell her about Jack. One day, Christian receives a call from his company, informing him that someone has set fire to his office, and it is undoubtedly Jack. With no other choice, the newlyweds return to Seattle ahead of schedule. Back in their daily lives, Anna hopes to resume her career as a journalist, but Christian does not support it, fearing that Jack might harm her again. Christian's omnipresent love gradually makes Anna feel suffocated.
