In a certain year, at the Abel Prize award ceremony held in Australia, the highest honor was simultaneously awarded to a pair of collaborators who had worked together for many years: Jin Nibeno (played by Takashi Iijima) and Shigeo Noda (played by Hiroshige Taguchi). The two appeared to get along well on the surface but were estranged at heart, with mutual grievances. Noda had long been fed up with Nibeno's empty boasting and lack of true talent, but was forced to share the honor that should have been his alone due to their partnership. His marriage to his wife (played by Masaki Mizuno) was already a sham, and his wife was secretly having an affair with Nibeno. On the night of the award ceremony, Noda hit his head during an argument with his wife and lost consciousness. Nibeno quickly staged the scene to make it look like Noda had fallen down the stairs and died from alcohol intoxication. During this time, Nibeno accidentally met Ryoichi Kurabe (played by Masakazu Tanimura) and Iino (played by Masahiko Nishimura), who were in Australia on vacation. Even more unexpectedly, Nibeno discovered Noda's missing body and a subsequent groundbreaking mathematical discovery that would shock the mathematical world.
