Zhang Yishan, a 16-year-old boy (played by Zhang Yishan), is a young overseas Chinese born in Beijing but raised in Indonesia, with limited proficiency in Chinese. During the era when Jackie Chan's kung fu films were sweeping the world, Zhang Yishan was no exception and became one of Jackie Chan's most devoted fans. He enrolled in a kung fu school to learn martial arts, with dreams and essays always revolving around Jackie Chan. His greatest wish was to meet his idol in person. One day, Zhang Yishan learned that Jackie Chan was filming at Tanze Temple in Beijing. To see his idol, he decided to return to his grandmother's house in Beijing, a departure from his usual behavior. This clever boy did not follow his grandmother's (played by Tian Hua) request to study Chinese with her but instead directly took a taxi to Tanze Temple. However, his limited Chinese skills led to a mix-up, and he was taken to Qingshi Temple by the driver (played by Wang Xuebing) instead. From this point, Zhang Yishan embarked on a challenging and perilous journey to find Jackie Chan... This film marks Jackie Chan's first investment in a children's movie, directed by Jiang Ping, the vice president of the China Film Group, and featuring actors from four generations in the Chinese film industry.
