In 1973, during the Chilean coup d'état, German couple Daniel was kidnapped by the secret police of the dictator Pinochet. Lena followed them to a closed community, Colonia Dignidad, where the Chilean military government used it as a base for torture and secret human experiments, led by former Nazi Paul Fisher. Lena pretended to join them in order to rescue Daniel.
