A late-night call disrupts the peaceful life of Australian Chinese employee Ma Ke (played by Lei Jiayin). His former girlfriend Zhou Wen (played by Tang Wei), who has been missing for years, suddenly reappears, followed by a mysterious assassin. Faced with relentless pursuit, Ma Ke takes Zhou Wen to Africa in search of the truth. He gradually realizes that there is a deeper conspiracy behind the international transaction he is handling. Should he become a "whistleblower" and expose the truth to society, or turn a blind eye to protect himself? Ma Ke is forced to make a difficult choice. Meanwhile, Ma Ke discovers that Zhou Wen, whom he thought shared his plight, is far from what she appears to be. The truth is buried deeper, and a greater crisis is looming...
