Video information
Dennis Quaid will star in the biopic *Reagan*, playing former U.S. President Ronald Wilson Reagan. David Henrie (*The Sorcerer's Apprentice*) will portray the younger Reagan, and Jon Voight will also appear in the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in the fall and release in the summer of next year. Sean McNamara (*The Miracle Season*, *Soul Surfer*) will direct, while Jonas McCord (*The Bible Code*, *The Sorcerer's Apprentice*) and Howard Klausner (*Space Cowboys*, *The Power of Forgiveness*) will write the screenplay, based on two autobiographies by author Paul Kengor. The film will begin with Reagan's childhood and cover his presidency, his time with the American Federation of Actors, his tenure as Governor of California, his role in the fall of the Berlin Wall, and his final days as he dealt with Alzheimer's disease. It will also touch on John Hinckley Jr., whose obsession with Jodie Foster led him to attempt to assassinate the Republican president in 1981.
