Following *Crazy Rich Asians*, Hollywood continues to develop projects related to Asia: Li Kunjue, a Sichuan native who has been acting in the UK (in *Peaky Blinders* and *The Street*), will star in Netflix's film *Tigertail*, which is also the name of a location in the United States. Ma Zhi, who appeared in *Arrival*, has also joined the project. The story is based on a concept by Yang Weirong, one of the co-creators of *The Master of None*. His parents are from Taiwan, and the film tells the story of two generations of Taiwanese immigrants to the United States and their emotional connections. The story follows Grover, a man born and raised in Taiwan, who had a difficult childhood. He abandoned his beloved family and ran off to the United States with a woman named Zhenzhen. Despite having little emotional connection, the two still seek a new life together in America. Later, Grover begins to reflect on the choices he has made throughout his life. He is a stubborn man, and his daughter, Angela, has grown up to be a stubborn woman as well. Neither the father nor the daughter realize how similar they are, but after experiencing regret and failure, they begin to understand each other. Kunjue plays the younger Zhenzhen, a quiet, polite, and unassuming Taiwanese woman who goes to the United States with Grover, finding the experience difficult. It is only when she meets a friend named Peijing that Zhenzhen begins to truly contemplate independence and her own value. Grover's daughter, Angela, is distant from her father but still maintains some connection with him. Ma Zhi plays the older Grover.
