Young man Ryoichi (played by Tora Matsuzaka) runs a bakery and café and is about to marry his beloved girlfriend Chihiro (played by Nana Kiyono). However, just as he is basking in his happiness, Chihiro suddenly disappears, and his father, Yoichi, is diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. While helping to sort through some of his father's belongings, Ryoichi accidentally discovers several old notebooks with the title "Yurikko's Heart" written on the covers. The notebooks are filled with a woman's monologue written in pencil, in which she confesses to feeling fear of the outside world from a young age and how an accidental murder brought her a sense of solace. The incredibly realistic descriptions in the notes fill Ryoichi with fear but also an irresistible curiosity. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hosoya (played by Tae Kimura), who claims to be Chihiro's friend, visits him and reveals the truth behind Chihiro's disappearance. As Ryoichi reads the notes, he feels drawn into the world of the woman named Mako (played by YurikoKitaoka), and a huge secret is hidden within the pages... This film is adapted from the novel "Yurikko's Heart" by Mahako Numata.
