The highly publicized Lin family murder case in Hong Kong is about to reach its final day of trial. As the jury prepares to retire to deliberate, one of the members, Xu Lisheng (played by Zhang Jiayi), suddenly receives a message that his daughter, Yin Yin (played by Amy), has been kidnapped. A mysterious person demands that Lisheng, who was once an international authority on hypnosis, use hypnosis to make the jury rule the defendant guilty of murder.
