Nakaw's mother must stay in Taipei for work, while her ailing grandfather is her only companion. Meanwhile, the tribal community is divided over a development plan that involves selling land for progress. Is building a hotel and creating job opportunities the only way for the tribe to survive? Based on the real-life experience of co-director Le Gaga Shumi's mother, Shumi Ru Ni, who has been advocating for the restoration of terraced fields and wetlands, this film pays tribute to every unsung hero and idealist on this land, like Don Quixote.
