At an art auction held in Manhattan, New York, a Van Gogh original sketch of the Sunflowers series, once thought to have been destroyed during World War II bombings, made a stunning appearance. With deep pockets, the vice president of the Suzuki Group, Jiroji Suzuki (voiced by Koichi Toyama), outpaced the competition and acquired the painting for a staggering $300 million. In a subsequent press conference, Suzuki announced plans to gather all the Sunflowers paintings held by collectors worldwide and stage a dream exhibition in Japan. To ensure the success of the exhibition, he hired a team of seven experts, including Kogorō Mori (voiced by Rikiya Koyama), exhibition planner Keiko Anderson (voiced by Ryouko Sugiyama), and art appraiser Natsumi Miyada (voiced by Nanako Matsushima), dubbed the "Seven Samurai" to safeguard the exhibition.
