Ace Ventura (played by Jim Carrey) is a pet detective who specializes in dealing with animals and makes a living by helping people find their lost pets. As the football championship is about to begin, the Miami Dolphins' mascot—a dolphin named "Snowflake"—is kidnapped, which will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the team's morale. At a loss, the team's agent, Miss Metzsa, turns to Ace Ventura to help retrieve the lost dolphin. Ace Ventura conducts a thorough investigation using his own methods, though the process is filled with humor and constantly hindered by the female police officer, Officer Euliss. Despite the obstacles, he uncovers many clues, and Miss Metzsa gradually becomes impressed by his wit and intelligence, beginning to look at him with new respect. Just as Ace's investigation is nearing the truth, another agent of the Dolphins, Proger, commits suicide by jumping from his home, and a team member, Malinno, is also kidnapped. To make matters worse, the suspect they had finally identified mysteriously disappears, making the case even more perplexing.
