Three women, spanning different times and places, are connected by a single name—Mrs. Dalloway. Virginia Woolf (Nicole Kidman), living in the suburbs of London in the 1920s, is completing her final novel, *Mrs. Dalloway*. Walking the fine line between fiction and reality, she struggles under immense pressure and a sense of confinement, even yearning for death. Laura Brown (Julianne Moore), a housewife in Los Angeles during the waning days of World War II, is inspired by *Mrs. Dalloway* to question what constitutes a more meaningful life. The monotony of her daily routine similarly fuels her thoughts of suicide. Clarissa Vaughan (Meryl Streep), living in New York in the 1990s, leads a life reminiscent of Mrs. Dalloway. She deeply cares for her friend Richard, a brilliant but ailing individual suffering from AIDS, unable to care for himself. Kind-hearted Mrs. Dalloway takes on the role of host, bringing joy to everyone, yet she cannot escape the loneliness and sorrow in her heart. In different times and places, their inner struggles and battles against death never cease, moment by moment.
