The story takes place in a mental health facility. Shuji Kajiki (played by Shofutai Tsurube) was once sentenced to death for killing his mother and wife, but miraculously survived the execution. Akio (played by Ryohei Arai) was a regular office worker, but due to increasingly severe auditory hallucinations, he was discriminated against and eventually lost his job, leaving his life in shambles. Yuko (played by Nana Komatsu), a high school girl, strongly resists going to school and spends her days shut up in her room, becoming a shut-in. She is eventually sent to the facility by her exasperated parents. Various patients with different backgrounds live here, each carrying a tragic past. Despite this, they form a unique bond, resembling a family in a way that transcends ordinary familial ties. However, this fragile balance is shattered by the occurrence of a murder.
