Video information
Ethan Coen will direct a lesbian road movie solo, co-writing the script and producing with his wife Tricia Cooke. Focus Features and Working Title are the production companies. The film currently has no name, but in fact, Ethan and Cooke wrote the original script over a decade ago. The original script was called "Drive-Away Dykes," a Rosse Melver (director of "Beautician and the Beast" and "Foxes") style action/sex/comedy film, originally planned for Allison Anders to direct, with Ethan only serving as a producer. However, it seems that Ethan has now decided to direct it himself. The story follows a party girl and her conservative friend on a journey from Philadelphia to Miami. Along the way, they will not only hit the bars but also encounter a severed head in a hatbox, a snarky ex-girlfriend, a mysterious suitcase, and an evil senator.
