Video information
Latif Yahia (played by Dominic Cooper) is a soldier fighting on the frontlines of the Iraq War. However, a decree from President Saddam changes his life on the battlefield. Latif is summoned to the presidential family, not to serve as a bodyguard, but to act as a double for President Saddam's son, Uday Hussein. It is well known that Uday is infamous for his brutal and ruthless behavior, indulging in a life of luxury, excess, and debauchery. Latif initially wants to refuse this absurd request, as it could put himself and his family in danger. Reluctantly, and with no interest in Uday's obsession with fast cars, beautiful women, drugs, and violence, Latif compromises and reluctantly takes on the role of Uday's double, living a life of indulgence. He also gradually befriends Uday's servant, Sarabah (played by Ludivine Sagnier). However, during their interactions, Latif discovers that there seems to be more to Sarabah's role as a servant than meets the eye... This film is based on the true story of Latif Yahia's experiences.
