Video information
A stable mindset, exquisite techniques, and the ability to kill without leaving a trace are essential qualities for a top-tier assassin. Arthur (played by Jason Statham) has been in the business for years and, with the help of his former partner, Harry (played by Donald Sutherland), has become an exceptional killing machine. Arthur receives a new assignment: to assassinate Harry. Although Arthur hesitates to carry out the task, he ultimately decides to personally "escort" Harry to his death after realizing that Harry is destined to die. Harry's son, Steve (played by Ben Foster), determined to avenge his father, decides to follow Arthur and learn from him. Under Arthur's training, Steve gradually masters the skills necessary for an assassin and works with Arthur to complete one covert assassination after another. Although Arthur never reveals to Steve who killed Harry, Steve discovers that his father was murdered by Arthur, and the fire of revenge begins to burn within him... This film is a remake of the 1972 movie of the same name (translated as "The Mechanic"), with an investment of approximately $40 million.
