Simba (played by Ranveer Singh) lost his parents at a young age and became an orphan. Forced by life, Simba had no choice but to become a pickpocket under the tutelage of a street thug boss. In the young Simba's mind, the seemingly all-powerful thug boss was the god of this world. During a theft, Simba and the thug boss were caught by the police. Seeing the thug boss groveling before the police, Simba's faith shattered. He finally realized that there was a more authoritative role above the thug boss, which was the police. Thus, Simba resolved to become a police officer and, after years of relentless effort, he eventually ascended to the position of police commissioner. However, Simba was not the kind of righteous person who punishes evildoers. He took advantage of his power and position to collude with local thug gangs, causing the citizens to dare to be angry but not dare to speak out.
