The tragedy of the Sōbe family is akin to a malevolent curse that entraps those who inadvertently become connected to it, drawing them into a vortex of death and terror. Young teacher Yui Kibaya (played by Sasaki Kyoko) is suddenly assigned to take over as the homeroom teacher of a third-grade class after a teacher unexpectedly resigns. While visiting the home of Sōbe Toshio (played by Sasaki Haruka), a student who has been absent for a long time, she encounters the eerie and unsettling Mrs. Sōbe, Kaya (played by Misa Sakurai), and finds herself ensnared by misfortune.
